Peters has learned momentum lesson ahead of Cup final

HULL KR appear poised to adopt a new approach ahead of this year’s Challenge Cup final as they look to end a 40-year wait for silverware.

In the build-up to the Wembley showdown in 2023, head coach Willie Peters made wholesale changes for the preceding Super League fixture, fielding a side largely made up of the club's youngsters. However, this year's mindset appears different.

Last year, Warrington head coach Sam Burgess followed a similar strategy to Peters, while Wigan’s Matt Peet took the opposite route, naming a strong side the week before the final.

That gamble paid off, as the Warriors went on to claim victory in the capital on their way to a historic Grand Slam season.
