Membership to Single Market not beneficial

EU Rejoiners persist in the belief that UK membership of the EU Single Market would be beneficial despite all the evidence to the contrary.

For example, just before the Brexit Referendum of 2016, the British current account deficit stood at 7 per cent of GDP, the worst in peace time since records began in 1772.

It was only necessary to stand on any street corner and watch the cars passing by to understand that a massive balance of trade deficit with the EU was a major factor in the problem.
