Knee injury sidelines FC's Bell for a month

NEW Hull FC signing James Bell has picked up a knee injury in preseason training.

The 31-year-old will see a specialist today to determine the full issue, but he is expected to be out for around four weeks.

The club will now rehab the player in the lead-up to Christmas, with the hope of him returning to training in the new year. That will give Bell sufficient time to get up to speed before the competitive season begins in February.

The Mail understands Bell picked up the injury in a wrestling session at the end of last week. He is understood to be mobile despite the knock and will now aim to complete his rehab exercises in swift fashion.
