If Bulls get it right, it could be massive - Storton

TURN the clock back 20 years and Bradford Bulls were on top of the rugby league world.

They had just beaten Leeds Rhinos in the Super League Grand final, their fourth and last title, to date, and would go on to beat a West Tigers team containing the likes of Benji Marshall and former Man of Steel winner Brett Hodgson in the World Club Challenge.

One of the summer era's original big guns, the Bulls are back in the big time after an 11-year hiatus, having been promoted, via IMG gradings, to an expanded Super League competition alongside Toulouse Olympique and York Knights.

And for a club that has risen back up after starting again in League 1 nine years ago after some severe financial difficulties, it's very much game on.

That is a view shared by former player Matty Storton, now at Wakefield Trinity, with some big West Yorkshire derbies to return in 2026.

“If Bradford get it right, it could be massive for Super League,” Storton told All Out Rugby League.
