SOME OF THE WORLD'S MOST FASHIONABLE - AND EXPENSIVE - MENSWEAR TO GO UNDER THE HAMMER AFTER BEING REMOVED FROM A SUPERYACHT ONCE OWNED BY MEMBERS OF MIDDLE EAST ROYAL FAMILY

A HUGE quantity of some of the world's most fashionable - and expensive - luxury menswear clothing is to go under the hammer in a spectacular auction in Scunthorpe next week after being removed from a superyacht once owned by members of a Royal family from the Middle East.

T-shirts that cost as much as £650 a time, shorts that had price tags north of £700, shirts that retailed for over £2,000 (each) and cashmere jumpers that sold for over £3,000 are among the clothing that was removed from the superyacht Sarafsa before its sale. Even the pyjamas available on the boat cost a touch over £250 as did the 80 pairs of swimming trunks that were on board.

Launched in Devonport in 2008, Sarafsa remains the second largest yacht built by a British shipyard, a 3,200-ton six-decker pleasure craft that in addition to the owner's deck had guest accommodation for 14 over five decks, quarters for ten personal staff - and cabins for the yacht crew of 23.
