MATTY English has avoided a dreaded ACL injury after being on the end of a cannonball tackle against Hull KR, but the Huddersfield Giants prop is still set for an extended spell on the sidelines.

The 28-year-old was forced from the field at the Accu Stadium during the Super League clash with the Robins following a dangerous tackle from opposition forward Karl Lawton.
The Hull KR utility was sent to the sin-bin and has since been handed a three-match ban for a Grade E charge by the match review panel.
