Delight as new penguin chick arrives at zoo

THE arrival of a new penguin is cause for celebration at Sewerby Hall and Gardens.

The zoo team are delighted to announce the arrival of a healthy, female Humboldt penguin chick.

It is not the first time Sigsbee and Twinnie have become parents but this year, the zoo team were unsure whether she would lay an egg this year at 23 years old. However, staff were overjoyed to find that she had laid an egg back in March.
