HUDDERSFIELD Giants have confirmed the departure of Thomas Deakin due to personal reasons, with the 23-year-old hooker to return home to Australia.
Deakin arrived at the John Smith's Stadium outfit ahead of the 2024 season from Sydney Roosters, penning a two-year deal in Super League.
Born in England before moving to Australia as a child, he has struggled to make an impact at Huddersfield after making just 11 appearances for the Giants.
