Driving the Born VZ is pleasant as it delivers its power smoothly and without any drama.

The rear-wheel drive setup means the car handles with precision. The steering is perfectly weighted and it handles the bends with ease.

Our test car's Dynamic Chassis Control adjusts the dampers and steering, with the Cupra mode the most exciting. This sharpens the throttle but the ride does become a bit hard.

There is also a lot of glass, so it's easy to see out of, although the thick front A-pillars can obstruct your view at certain junctions. Also, the racing bucket seats may look great, but they aren't the most comfortable long distance.
