1. BRAIN
“Alcohol affects the pathways and chemicals (neurotransmitters) in the brain, which can result in changes to mood, behaviour, cognition (including memory), and coordination,’ says Kim Goldin, senior GP and health assessment doctor at Nuffield Health.
