Naidu moves SC against FIR in skill development scam; alleges vendetta

Terming his arrest an instance of "regime revenge and political vendetta", Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu moved the Supreme Court on Saturday to seek quashing of the case filed against him by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) in the alleged ₹371 crore alleged development scam
Naidu has approached the top court a day after the Andhra Pradesh high court dismissed his plea to quash the FIR in the case, noting that the investigation was at the "fulcrum of completion" and that no prior approval was required to probe his alleged role in the matter.
