AMRITSAR:

The Amritsar Rural police identified the Delhi suspects as Ravinder Jain and Rishabh Jain, arrested from New Delhi's Model Town for allegedly supplying raw materials to Sahib Singh, one of the main accused in manufacturing the toxic brew.

The raw material referenced by the police was methanol, said Punjab director general of police Gaurav Yadav, adding that in all, 600 litres of it was ordered online.

"One of the main accused, Sahib Singh, was in contact with Rishabh Jain, as revealed through his WhatsApp chat history. It is suspected that Sahib Singh received a consignment from Jain, which was used to manufacture the spurious liquor in Punjab," the DGP said.
