Delhi's Ranji Trophy season hit a fresh low after they were handed a seven-wicket defeat by once whipping boys Jammu and Kashmir on the final day of their fourth game at the Ferozeshah Kotla ground on Tuesday.

Unable to make amends after a poor first innings to concede 99-run lead, the hosts set a modest 179-run victory target for J&K, who eased to 179/3 and secured six points. The winners are second in Elite Group D with 14 points, only behind leaders Mumbai's 17.
Delhi, seven-time winners from 15 Ranji finals, managed three points each against Hyderabad (away) and Himachal Pradesh in their first two drawn games and then conceded the first-innings lead against Puducherry at home, taking just one point.
