NEW RULE: 60% FLIGHT SEATS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST

Addressing frequent flyers’ concerns, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, through the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), introduced new passenger-friendly rules on Wednesday.

The press release stated that “passenger facilitation remains its highest priority”.With India now the “third-largest domestic aviation market globally”, the guidelines aim to improve travel ease through initiatives like UDAN Yatri Cafés for affordable food, Flybrary for free books, and complimentary airport WiFi.

The move is being hailed as a “welcome change” by airline professionals as well as performing artistes especially musicians who have faced challenges while travelling with their instruments.
