With rainfall across all 13 districts, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued an orange alert for several districts, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds till June 28.

MUSSOORIE: With rainfall across all 13 districts, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued an orange alert for several districts, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds till June 28.

According to IMD officials, the monsoon made a strong onset over the region, with districts such as Bageshwar, Dehradun, Rudraprayag and Nainital witnessing intense rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40-50 km per hour at isolated locations.
