JAIPUR: The Rajasthan high court on Monday asked the state government to take a decision on the cancellation of the sub-inspector 2021 examination in a stipulated time.
The single bench of the HC presided over by Justice Sameer Jain said: "The investigation is a long-term process. Therefore, the state should take the decision in a stipulated time. The hearing cannot go on for an infinite period. We might finish the hearing in two four days and may also consider handing it over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) after assessing all the aspects."
The court was hearing a petition filed by an individual Kailash Chandra Sharma in November last year seeking to cancel the sub-inspector 2021 recruitment exam in response to the arrest of over 70 trainees and also two ex-RPSC members Babulal Katara and Ramu Ram Raika the special operation group (SOG) since March 2024.
The accused were found involved in leaking the paper at least 10 days before the exam.
