City's Rutuja Warhade Tops NDA Entrance Exam Among Females

Rutuja Warhade, a student from Pune, has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the top position among female candidates in the National Defence Academy (NDA) entrance examination and an impressive third rank overall in the merit list released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

This comes just a few years after the NDA opened its doors to women in 2021, marking progress towards gender inclusion in the armed forces.
More than 1.5 lakh female candidates competed this year for the 27 available positions for girls at the NDA.
