A day after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) victory in Bihar, the ruling party on Saturday suspended former Union power minister RK Singh, issuing a stern show-cause notice that accused him of engaging in "antiparty activities" and causing "harm" to the organisation.
Hours later, Singh resigned from the primary membership of the party, saying he could not respond to "unspecified charges".
