Ahead of Bihar election, political parties and organisations have started flexing their muscles to exhibit their strength both within their alliances as well as outside, even as the BJP-led NDA and the RJD-led Opposition Alliance are trying to have a direct face off.

PATNA:

On Sunday, three senior leaders held public meetings, while Patna witnessed a congregation of Muslims against the Waqf board on a day AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi gave a call for united Opposition against the BJP to dislodge the government.

Union Minister and LJP-R president Chirag Paswan held a big show of strength with 'Bahujan Bhim Samagam' in Nalanda and Rajgir with an eye on 5.5% Dalit votes, especially Paswan community. He has already hinted his willingness to join Bihar election fray to establish himself as the state's Dalit leader, as BSP is also planning to jump into Bihar election.

"Every election, the Opposition tries to confuse people by raising issues like dangers to Constitution, democracy and reservation, but the reality is that they are themselves the biggest dangers to it. The Congress proved it during Emergency and people still remember the horror stories. Yet, the RJD is today supporting it. NDA has been in power for so long in Bihar as well as the Centre and it has never happened, nor it will ever happen," said Chirag.
