Chief minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated Karamchat Eco-Tourism and Adventure Hub at Durgawati reservoir project site during his "Pragati Yatra" in Rohtas district on Wednesday, officials said.
SASARAM:
The forest department park, developed with an investment of ₹50 crore, is set to become a premier eco-tourism and adventure destination in the state. Nestled in lush landscapes and serene eco-friendly surroundings, the park seamlessly blends natural preservation with enhanced tourist facilities. It offers an array of adventure activities, including trekking, water sports, and other exciting thrills catering to children and young visitors.
The CM also laid the foundation stone for a Boat House Camp at Badalgarh, near the dam, with an estimated cost of ₹2.71 crore. Additionally, a ₹14.89 crore project has been sanctioned for the development of an eco-park at Bhaluni Dham.
To facilitate better accessibility for domestic and international tourists, the CM announced the construction of a new road from Rehal to Chaurasan Temple via Rohtasgarh Fort. This initiative aims to boost tourism and accelerate economic development in remote areas.
