Bihar Govt Urged To Bring Bettiah Raj Priests, Staff Under Its Ambit

Amid Bihar government's move to take over the property of the erstwhile principality, Bettiah Raj Karmchaari Sangh has demanded adoption of priests and other temple employees under the ambit of the state government and payment of their salary in accordance with minimum state wage rules in the future scheme of things, officials said.
BETTIAH:
In a letter written to Secretary, dated February 27, 2025, Board of Revenue Bihar, Bettiah Raj Karmchaari Sangh's president Pramod Vyas has made a request to consider the adoption of all the priests and other employees of the temples belonging to Bettiah Raj which are spread over districts of Bihar and neighbouring Uttar Pradesh.
