BENGALURU: The Centre has transferred the investigation into the murder of former Bajrang Dal member Suhas Shetty in Karnataka to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), according to officials familiar with the matter on Sunday.

In a notification dated June 7, the ministry of home affairs (MHA) has ordered the central agency to investigate the case, citing implications on national security and the need to uncover a larger conspiracy.
