The chief ministerial face of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc in Bihar will be decided in consultation with coalition partners, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav said on Tuesday, soon after meeting top Congress leaders, including party president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, in Delhi.
PATNA:
Talking to reporters after meeting the Congress leadership at Kharge's residence, Yadav, who was accompanied by RJD lawmakers Manoj Jha and Sanjay Yadav, exuded confidence of the Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) forming government in Bihar after the upcoming assembly polls scheduled for October-November this year.
"I don't know why you all are worried about the CM face; we will talk among ourselves and decide. Things will become clear; you all should not worry about it," he said.
The meeting in Delhi comes days ahead of the crucial meeting of INDIA bloc partners convened by Tejashwi Yadav at his Patna residence on April 17 to hammer out the electoral strategy for the upcoming polls. According to grand alliance insiders, key issues such as the CM face of coalition and draft for common minimum programme are likely to be taken up for deliberations in Patna meeting.
