NEW DELHI: The lieutenant governor's (LG) office and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) continued their dispute on Thursday over the demolition of religious structures encroaching on government land in Delhi, with the LG's office accusing former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal of approving the demolition of 22 temples between 2016 and 2023.
Hitting back, the AAP said that the officials who recommended the demolition of the temples were appointed by the central government, and that the demolitions were approved by the LG's office.
