The Delhi high court on Friday upheld a man's conviction for outraging a woman's modesty, noting persistent safety challenges for women in public spaces, despite stringent laws.
NEW DELHI:
The case dates to October 2015, when a woman alleged that the man made inappropriate gestures and forcibly kissed her on a bus from Najafgarh's Khaira Mor to Janakpuri's District Centre. She filed an FIR, stating he winked at her upon boarding and made physical contact with her while she was getting off.
