Govt to auction properties of 1993 serial blasts accused Tiger Memon

Properties owned by 1993 Mumbai serial blasts accused Tiger Memon and his family will soon be auctioned, an official aware of the matter said on Thursday.
Among 17 properties that are set to go under the hammer is a flat where the blasts conspiracy was allegedly hatched.
The official said that the Speical Tada court had given details of 17 properties owned by Tiger Memon and his family to The Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture and Property) Act Authority (SAFEMA).
According to the official, SAFEMA has already taken possession of eight of these properties. These include three flats in Al Husseini building in central Mumbai's Mahim where the Memon family including Tiger Memon, his five brothers and their mother once lived,
