A DELHI RESIDENT HAS ALLEGED THAT WHILE SONIA TOOK INDIAN CITIZENSHIP IN 1983, HER NAME WAS INCLUDED IN VOTER LIST IN 1980
A Delhi court on Tuesday issued notices to senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and the Delhi Police seeking their response on a petition challenging a magistrate’s order refusing filing of an FIR on the allegation that her name was included in the electoral rolls three years before she became an Indian citizen.
Special judge Vishal Gogne of the Rouse Avenue Court issued notices in the revision plea filed by one Vikas Tripathi, a resident of IP Estate in New Delhi. The judge posted the matter for hearing on January 6, asking the Congress parliamentary party chairperson and police to respond to the notice before that.
