{ ‘TARNISHING IMAGE’ } RJD notice to 32 over songs on party, leaders
Hindustan Times Mumbai
|November 25, 2025
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has sent legal notices to 32 Bhojpuri, Maithili and Magahi artists over songs mentioning the party and its leaders, including Lalu Prasad and Tejashwi Yadav, with leaders alleging that these songs “tarnished its image” during the recently concluded Bihar assembly elections.
“The notices ask why permission was not sought for the use of the party and leaders’ names and their image. The party's legal team will now review the clarifications from those singers. If the response is unsatisfactory, further action will be taken,” RJD spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav said on Monday. The party has not disclosed the names of the 32 artists.

We wanted them to grovel: Proteas coach Conrad
Grovel. That's the word South Africa coach Shukri Conrad chose to use when asked why they had delayed the declaration against India on the fourth day of the second Test here. It probably wasn't done in bad faith, as Conrad mentioned he was \"stealing a phrase\" from the interview of England captain Tony Greig before the 1976 home series against Clive Lloyd's West Indies that fired up the visitors to a 3-0 win. But it definitely could have been avoided.
