NSA Imposed on 5 Accused of Bahraich Violence

The Bahraich district magistrate (DM) has issued detention orders under Section 3(2) of the National Security Act (NSA), 1980, against five accused involved in the Bahraich violence that erupted in the district's Maharajganj area under Hardi police station during an idol immersion procession on October 13-14 last year in which one youth, Ram Gopal Mishra, was killed.
BAHRAICH:
Acting on a complaint filed by the deceased's brother, Hari Milan, an FIR (first information report) was registered at Hardi police station under various relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Arms Act.
