TCS Q1 PROFIT BEATS ESTIMATES AFTER CLIENTS SPEND BIG ON IT

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) reported quarterly earnings that exceeded analysts’ estimates, signalling a revival in tech spending by global enterprises.
The Mumbai-headquartered TCS posted a net income of ₹12,760 crore ($1.5 billion) for the first quarter through June, it said Thursday. Analysts, on average, forecast ₹12,253 crore. Sales rose to ₹63,437 crore.
TCS is Asia's biggest outsourcer by sales and leads India’s $280 billion software services industry.
The showpiece sector is trying to maintain growth as customers cut costs to cope with uncertainties created by US President Donald Trump's tariffs regime.
