Putin Calls PM Modi, Condemns Pahalgam Attack

Russian President Vladimir Putin called Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday to reiterate his condemnation of the Pahalgam terror attack and to support India's fight against terrorism and bringing the perpetrators of the incident to justice.
NEW DELHI: The United Nations Security Council was set to hold closed-door consultations on Monday on the rising tensions between India and Pakistan in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, including 25 tourists.
Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, was to deliver a statement at the Security Council stakeout area after the UNSC meeting on Monday afternoon, Pakistan's Permanent Mission to the UN said. The details of the meeting were yet to emerge at the time of going to print.
