8 held for raping girl in Guwahati temple: Cops

Eight people were arrested on Friday for allegedly gang-raping a girl at a temple in Guwahati, recording the crime and sharing the video on social media, police said, adding that they are trying to nab one more accused.

According to the police, the crime took place on the premises of a Durga temple on November 17. It came to light after a senior police officer saw the purported video of the incident on social media on Thursday.
