Revised dairy schemes cleared

Union information and broadcasting minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Wednesday that the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the extension of two central schemes to boost the dairy and livestock sectors with a total outlay of ₹6,190 crore.
NEW DELHI:
The Cabinet cleared implementation of a revised Rashtriya Gokul Mission with an additional outlay of ₹1,000 crore, taking the total to ₹3,400 crore during 15th Finance Commission cycle from 2021-22 to 2025-26. A revised National Programme for Dairy Development was also cleared by the council of ministers with an additional allocation of ₹1,000 crore, bringing the total budget to ₹2,790 crore for the same period.
