Steady Growth in Revenue and House Tax Collection, Has Emerged as a Significant Step Towards Economic Dev
PRAYAGRAJ: The Prayagraj Municipal Corporation (PMC) has set a new milestone by collecting ₹4.32 crore as house tax in a single day on January 17, during the last quarter of the 2024-25 financial year. This surpasses the previous record of ₹3.5 crore collected on March 31, 2023.
As of January 17, the PMC has collected ₹74 crore in house tax, progressing towards the annual target of ₹130 crore set by the state government, according to officials.
The Prayagraj Municipal Corporation (PMC) has collected a total of ₹158 crore under the overall revenue head during this period, against a target of ₹300 crore, officials reported. The tenure of the current PMC commissioner, Chandra Mohan Garg, has been marked by numerous achievements and milestones.
