The National Investigation ‘Agency (NIA) on Tuesday arrested another doctor from Kashmir who investigators say is a key accused in the November 10 Red Fort bomb blast case, marking the eighth arrest by the central probe agency in the case and the fourth medical professional taken into custody.
The agency identified the latest accused as Dr Bilal Naseer Malla of Baramulla, saying he was picked up by an NIA team in Delhi.
“He is the eighth accused to be arrested in case RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI,” an agency spokesperson said. “During investigation, it was found that he was involved in the conspiracy behind the terrorist attack that killed Ii persons and injured several others.”
The NIA said Malla had knowingly sheltered the deceased accused, Umar Un Nabi, by providing logistical support and was also involved in destroying evidence related to the attack.
