HC relief to MP in Sambhal case

The Allahabad high court has stayed lower court proceedings against Samajwadi Party MP Zia Ur Rehman Barq in connection with November 24, 2024 violence over the ASI survey at Shahi Jama Masjid in the district.
Barq, who represents Sambhal in the Lok Sabha, has been accused of delivering a provocative speech that allegedly incited violence.
The single judge bench of justice Sameer Jain also sought a reply from the state government within three weeks regarding the MP’s petition challenging
