'Yagna-like efforts' by AP to revive Amaravati capital project: Fin min

Describing the revival of Amaravati project as a "yagna", Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday said the new capital of Andhra Pradesh would stand as an inspiration for any country which wants to build a new city right from scratch.

Sitharaman, along with chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan and other cabinet colleagues, inaugurated the construction of the regional offices of as many as 15 nationalised banks and financial institutions, besides the Reserve Bank of India, in Amaravati.
