BENGALURU: BJP leader V Sunil Kumar on Thursday demanded the Karnataka government to table the findings of the long-delayed caste census report in the Assembly before the budget session concludes on March 21. Accusing the Congress of withholding the report for political reasons, he challenged chief minister Siddaramaiah to release the data in the public domain.
"When will you make the H Kantharaju (former Backward Classes Commission chairman) report public? The government spent ₹165 crore on this survey. If the chief minister truly cares about OBCs, he should ensure its release; otherwise, it would be an injustice to the people," Kumar said in the Assembly during a debate on the governor's speech.
