IAS officer lodges FIR against IAS husband over domestic violence

An FIR has been filed against IAS officer Ashish Modi on the complaint of his wife, IAS officer Bharti Dixit, who has accused him of prolonged domestic violence, physical assault, illegal confinement, and threats to her life and family

Dixit, 38, is posted as joint secretary in the finance department, while Modi, is director in the social justice and empowerment department. Both are officers of the 2014 batch of the Rajasthan cadre.

“In the FIR, Dixit accused Modi of constant domestic violence. She alleged that her husband had been forcing her to get a divorce, assaulting her constantly. She also alleged that Modi had several relationships with other women,” said inspector Rajesh Sharma of SMS police station in Jaipur.
