New councillor calls for a probė into election that he won

A NEWLY elected councillor has called into question the integrity of the election count where he claimed victory.
Coun Jordan Tarrant-Short won the Balderstone and Kirkholt by-election earlier this month. He became the second elected Greater Manchester councillor for Reform by taking 766 votes out of 2,362 – 142 more than Labour's runner up, Leanne Greenwood.
Despite his elation on becoming the newest Rochdale councillor, he has called for an investigation into the election count process.
Coun Tarrant-Short, and others in attendance, alleged that counted votes were placed in the wrong candidate's box.
