Alarm raised after no sign of neighbour

NEIGHBOURS raised the alarm after seeing no sign of a Teignmouth man for two days.

Stephen Hamlyn, 50, was found dead by police in his home in Kingsway in Teignmouth in June 2023.
An inquest at County Hall in Exeter heard he had been trying to turn his life around and get help for his drinking before taking his own life. The coroner heard written evidence from Mr Hamlyn’s family, friends and neighbours as well as his medical history.
Mr Hamlyn was last seen alive on the evening of June 21 by a neighbour who saw him drunk and heard him shouting outside his front door that nobody cared about him.
