He first sang with the Welsh National Opera in the early 1960s.
Burrows performed in some of the most famous venues in the world including La Scala in Milan, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Carnegie Hall, and the Royal Opera House in London.
His professional debut was with the Welsh National Opera in 1963, which led to appearances at Covent Garden and the Athens Festival in 1967.
