Worker electrocuted, firm told to compensate kin

The Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Cases Court has ordered a company to pay Dhs75,000 in compensation to the family of an employee who died as a result of an electrical short circuit caused by errors and negligence on the part of the company, which also breached its professional code of conduct.

The deceased's family filed a lawsuit against his employer, requesting Dhs350,000 in compensation for material and moral damage resulting from the death of their deceased, as well as legal expenses and fees.
