UAE, Iraq discuss relations, regional and global issues

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday received a phone call from Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani, Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq.

The two leaders discussed the close ties between their countries and explored avenues for enhanced cooperation, particularly in development and economic-focused sectors, highlighting opportunities to strengthen coordination in ways that serve shared interests and promote the prosperity and wellbeing of their peoples.

The two sides also discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern, with a focus on recent developments in the Middle East.

They underscored the importance of supporting efforts to advance peace and promote stability and security across the region for the benefit of its peoples.

Separately, Sheikh Mohamed welcomed a delegation from the Department of Government Enablement - Abu Dhabi, along with the winners of the first edition of the Abu Dhabi Effortless Customer Experience Award, organised by the department, at Qasr Al Bahr.

Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, also attended the meeting.
