Sultan orders expansion of University Hospital

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has directed the expansion project of the University Hospital Sharjah, which will consist of a new building adjacent to the existing one at a total cost of Dhs300 million, to be executed immediately.

The expansion project is part of the ongoing development of the hospital's healthcare services. The new building will double the capacity and add 300 parking spaces.

On Tuesday, Sheikh Sultan had announced a series of projects to construct and develop internal and main roads linking the emirates of Sharjah and Dubai at a cost of Dhs750 million.

Sheikh Sultan noted that the Al Taawun Roundabout Monument, which was recently removed to facilitate the construction of a new tunnel that will ease traffic movement between the two emirates, will be reinstated once the project is completed, bringing back its cherished memories.
