Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced a list of projects being carried out and inaugurated this month including 16 projects that span residential and educational areas and major traffic corridors across the emirate.
These projects are part of RTA's comprehensive strategy to enhance the efficiency of the road network, improve traffic flow and develop smart mobility services in line with Dubai's vision for a more sustainable urban future.
The projects are part of an integrated development plan aimed at modernising and expanding the road network through innovative engineering solutions that contribute to reducing traffic congestion, shortening daily travel times, improving the level of public safety on the roads and supporting efforts aimed at building an advanced transportation system based on efficiency and smart technologies, it said.
RTA began implementing its plan for August by opening two major projects, the first was the operation of a new tunnel within the Umm Suqeim Street development project, a vital project that contributes to strengthening the connection between residential and commercial areas.
