Pak expatriates celebrate National Day with fervour

In a solemn manner, Pakistani community members residing in the UAE have celebrated the country’s 86th National Day with national zeal.
In this regard, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi organised a flag-hoisting ceremony at its premises on Monday.
The ceremony, led by Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan, accompanied by the community members and officials also rendered Pakistan's National Anthem. Special messages from the President, the Prime Minister, and the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister on the occasion of Pakistan's National Day were then read out.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan recalled the long and heroic struggle and immense sacrifices made by the Muslims of the Subcontinent that led to the creation of Pakistan.
He emphasised the importance of unity, tolerance, and harmony to overcome current challenges and build a stable and prosperous nation.
The ambassador highlighted the significance of the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UAE. He thanked the government and people of the UAE for the warmth, hospitality, and opportunities extended to the Pakistani community.
