Man fined for theft and assault in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative cases Court obligated a man to pay Dhs10,000 to a woman plus a compensation of Dhs3,000 after he had stolen electronic devices and a mobile phone from her, assaulted her and caused her injuries that prevented her from performing work for no more than 20 days.
The woman filed a lawsuit against the man for assaulting her and stealing her belongings.
The defendant was convicted based on a lawsuit that was filed against him.
In her lawsuit, the victim requested the court to obligate the defendant to pay her the price of the stolen items in addition to Dhs30,000 in compensation for the material and moral harms she sustained and the incurred charges, expenses and lawyer's fees.
