|August 01, 2025
The Kerala High Court has directed the Alappuzha district authorities to take immediate action to address waterlogging at the SNDP Higher Secondary School in Kuttanad.
The court acted on its own accord after receiving a concerning letter from approximately 200 students, who reached out to Chief Justice Nitin Jamdar, requesting assistance to restore their school, which has been submerged in floods.
On Thursday, Justices Jamdar and Basant Balaji instructed the Deputy Director of Education to report on the number of academic days the children lost due to waterlogging.
