Kerala extends last date for expats' health insurance plan

Kerala government on Saturday extended the last date for applying for the NORKA Care insurance scheme till Nov.30, 2025, according to media reports.
The decision comes after several expatriate organisations, including the Organisation for Return Migrants Affairs (ORMA) and the Kerala Pravasi Welfare Board, urged the state to grant more time for registration, citing delays in document verification and technical issues during the initial phase of the enrolment process.
The NORKA Care scheme, launched on Sept. 22, has quickly become one of the most successful welfare initiatives for expatriate Keralites, enrolling over one lakh beneficiaries within just 40 days.
